    We met several agents throughout the day at various open houses one Sunday. Just when we thought we were done for the day we chanced upon a quaint home in Agoura Hills and were greeted by the lovely Deborah Kernahan. She had a warm approach, was genuinely friendly, and was very knowledgeable as she answered my many inquiries about the house. What struck me most about Deborah was her ability to make us feel at home like we were old friends rather than prospective buyers which shows her sincerity, patience, and willingness to help. Although my residence was a smaller property, Deborah treated me no differently than if I owned and was selling a multi-million dollar estate. She was upfront, honest, joyful to be around, highly capable, energetic, caring, and intelligent, offering sage input that led to my getting top dollar for my home. Never pushy or aggressive, Deborah was strong and steadfast, with an amazing memory for detail so that nothing slipped through the cracks.     I emailed an attorney, asking for a real estate agent to sell a large home on a large lot in Woodland Hills due to a death. He referred me to Deborah (Deb) someone who had sold homes for clients and his own home and all had been delighted. My son and I met with Deb and after that first meeting, we knew we had the right REALTOR. She was extremely knowledgeable about the market, and professional, and knew what needed to be done with the house and the contractors to do the work, including repairing damage from the 1994 earthquake. We had three offers before marketing the home and more after the marketing began, which allowed a primary buyer and backup to be selected, just when COVID-19 struck. Deb was a guiding light throughout the whole process and escrow was always available by email, text, and phone. Because we live in the Central time zone we had a lot of joking trying to time our communications. The Compass Concierge program worked very well for our remodeling and improving the home. Whether you are selling or buying a home, I highly recommend Deb and her firm.

    Sold a Single Family home in 2018 in Del Rey, Los Angeles, California. My husband and I were faced with the daunting task of selling a home that belonged to a family member who unexpectedly passed away. Adding to that fact, we had never lived in the home and we live out of town. We had a huge undertaking in front of us. A referral from an associate of ours recommended Deb Kernahan to us and our prayers were answered. We only personally met with Deb 3 times and she immediately took charge of all the dealings of selling a home. She made arrangements for everything from hauling and cleaning to gardening. She even watered the lawn. She handled every technicality and kept everyone's best interest possible to complete the process of listing the home to close escrow in 41 days. She is a tireless worker who made our job less stressful. Deb is fantastic in all aspects of doing her job. Her vast experience, integrity, and professionalism made her the perfect choice for us. Her warm personality shined above all and we are happy to say that during this process Deb always did everything as promised. In the end, we are totally satisfied with this whole process, but almost wished it hadn't happened so quickly as we will surely miss our interactions with Deb.     We first met Deb 3 years ago when she was doing an open house in Old Agoura, CA. We already lived there but we were looking for a more spacious home and a larger piece of property. She kept in touch with us during that time, letting us know what was coming up on the market and showing us homes she thought might work for us. Unfortunately, we were unable to find anything within our price point. Things don't come on the market too often in Old Agoura and it is very expensive, so we were unsuccessful. Old Agoura is a very niche market and it takes an expert, such as Deb, to navigate. Then my husband was transferred to San Diego. We knew immediately who we would ask to handle our listing. Deb Kernahan. She knew the market so well we knew she would get our home sold quickly. She got it sold within 2 weeks at very close to the listing price, even though it was Easter and most people were away on vacation. She did an incredible job marketing the place and even did the open house herself. She also negotiated a few things that we wouldn't be taking with us, such as horse tack and the washer and dryer. That made our move that much easier on us and much easier for the buyer as well. She was a professional during the entire process, responded to my questions, and talked me down from my tree more than once. I would recommend Deb for either buying or selling a home as we had a very pleasant experience for both. I feel like she wasn't only our REALTOR but she was a friend, too. I haven't had too many experiences like that in the past, and this is our 10th home to sell, so we've had a lot of experience.

    I would recommend Deb Kernahan in a heartbeat. She's very personable and knowledgeable. This is the second time she has helped my family purchase a house. Although it was an out-of-area sale, we wanted Deb to represent us as we feel very confident in her abilities, and she did not disappoint as she help negotiate a lower price than what was advertised. First of all, Deborah is friendly and personal, and it feels like you have your best friend looking out for you. She takes her time to understand your needs and wants for a future home, and is bent on finding the right home for you. She is also very straightforward in the sense that she will let you know if she feels the house you are viewing is not right for any reason (too far from a school, not children-friendly, a money pit, or priced outrageously, etc.). She is not pushy in her opinions, but merely lets you know so you can consider them. Second, Deb and her assistant Chelsea are extremely helpful and will go out of their way to assist you. Through the 2-year process of finding the home that was right for us, Deb has been very patient with us. And when we found it, Deb and Chelsea helped us through inspections, as we were unable to be onsite due to work in NorCal. Third, even after we closed on our new wonderful home, Deb and Chelsea have remained helpful with advice and referrals for handymen, gardeners, interior designers, etc. which is of the essence when you are from out of town. And every one of those referrals has been excellent and reasonably priced. To sum it all up, we cannot say enough good things about Deb she is one of a kind, and I can wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking to find a new home.

    From the moment we met Deborah in 2017 when we purchased our first home in Old Agoura, it was as if we had found a true friend rather than just a realtor. Life took an unexpected turn when my husband embarked on his daring start-up venture, and in order to navigate the many challenges, we had to make the difficult decision to sell our beloved home. Throughout this rollercoaster ride, Deborah stood by our side, offering unwavering support and an unwritten promise that we could always rely on her, even in the face of the most daunting challenges. Her steadfast presence during both the highs and lows of our lives reassured us that we were not alone. Since then we had leased, purchased and sold 8 properties through Deborah. The last property we worked on together was a 1977 house in Westlake Village that we flipped and sold. It was not an easy task!
