I was referred to Deb by another agent, and I’m glad I was. From the outset, I felt comfortable with her. I also felt like I was in experienced, capable hands.
I had grown tired of apartment living for me, my girlfriend and daughter, and decided to house-hunt in the madness that was 2015. We saw a number of “turn-key” properties and submitted offers on at least 6 of them. We happily lost out to buyers willing to pay well over asking price.
We grew frustrated, but Deb preached patience.
And, it was during our “patience period” that we changed our strategy and searched for a “fixer upper.” I wasn’t eager to bear the renovation costs, but the upside was that we could customize the home and the property taxes would be based on a lower purchase price.
We found a “fixer upper” and closed escrow in September, 2015. Deb and I were in constant contact during the escrow period and I appreciated the attention.
We moved in over the Thanksgiving weekend, after about 11 weeks of renovations.
Deb will be my agent until she retires, or until I’m six feet under, whichever comes first :)
